Baby Boy

Well, we went in for our back-up ultra-sound to check into the trisomy-18 and such things at the hospital with a higher-res scan...And while going down the "laundry list" of signs of trisomy-18 we got this image:

Good View
So, the technician (a funny guy named Dave) told us we are basically 99.9% going to be a boy. The view above he called the "turtle" view. He tried to also get a "tri-pod" view, to no avail. But, we're going to go forward now with the boy themed bedroom, kind of jungle-y and lotsa monkeys! :-)

Oh, and about the trisomy-18...not too likely. The cysts are gone (which they would be anyway), he can open his hands all the way, the feet are arched properly, and a few others I can't remember so clearly. I was just happy to hear more info/confirmation that he seems healthy. Sure, other things are not able to be seen in an ultrasound, but there is nothing apparent. Whew!

We look forward to meeting you in person, Jackson...or Jakson....haven't fully decided on the spelling yet...I figure we'll go with the standard spelling, since I always have to spell out my name to people. ;-) Yeah, good chance you'll be born Jackson River. See ya soon, now start being nice to Mommy, so she can have a nice pregnancy from here on in! And, finally, Jessica is starting to feel Jackson moving around, so that's good to get that constant sign of the baby being OK.
